Those who don't know how to weep with their whole heart, don't know how to laugh either. ---Golda Meir
As a scientist, I am not sure anymore that life can be reduced to a class struggle, to dialectical materialism, or any set of formulas. Life is spontaneous and it is unpredictable, it is magical. I think that we have struggled so hard with the tangible that we have forgotten the intangible. ---Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider
I originally began this blog as a means to share my writing with friends. (A handful of those original posts are still included.) Starting my own blog increased my interest in other blogs and sites, so I began searching and reading. I found too many blogs and sites, particularly during these difficult economic times, focusing on things, stressing “money saving” ideas on the unnecessary, or admonishing negative feelings while providing no substantial alternatives. These sites designed to “inspire” or “help” left me disappointed and empty. Written by people that I believe had the best intentions but just fell short by overlooking the most important aspects of life and humanity.
Now this blog is designed to help fill that emptiness for me by showcasing those positive facets of life and humanity missing in my search. My hope is that it will do the same for someone else too.
